Do you have the fanciest fruit mince tarts, the scrummiest stollen or the crispiest croissants in the land?
Entries are now open for the Baking NZ Christmas Competition 2022!
There are three categories and bakers can enter any or all of the categories.
The top three entries in each category will be awarded: winner- gold, silver, bronze. There is no overall winner.
Fruit Mince Tarts
*6 pack of fruit mince tarts
* Sweet pastry and top
* Decorated with a Xmas theme
*Fruit mince filling
*3 croissants with a weight range between 100-150g for each croissant
*Either straight or crescent shape
* Unfilled (no almond croissants please)
*1 stollen with a weight range between 600-800g
*Marzipan/ almond paste log included (the use of almond icing as the log will be disqualified
*Choice of dusting – either vanilla sugar, icing sugar or both.
It’s time to bake them out and let the judges decide!!

Take advantage of this excellent media opportunity and get the recognition and sales you deserve at Christmas in 2022. Baking NZ President Bernie Sugrue will visit your bakery to hand over the trophy in person bringing with him national and local media. Your bakery will also feature in the next issue of Slice magazine, reaching 2500 bakeries, cafes and related businesses around New Zealand and be seen on national television.
It’s FREE and any bakery can enter.
Final day for registration: 5pm, Monday 3rd October 2022
Entries delivery for judging: no later than 5pm Friday 14th October
Judging: Saturday, 15th October
